A smart city is a municipality that uses information and communication technology (ICT), including various digital data sensors, to improve operational efficiency, share information with the public and provide a better quality of government service and citizen welfare. The smart city involves processing and analysis of data, which is collected from citizens, devices and assets to allow for improvements to be made to both public and private sector efficiencies including monitoring, control and supervision of public transportation, power grid, water supply, waste disposal, law enforcement, information sharing, schools, libraries, hospitals and other communities. The generic concept of the smart city relies on the Internet of Things (IoT), a network of devices (anything from vehicles to home appliances) that communicate and exchange data to deliver the connected optimal solutions for the public, leading to the optimization of city functions.
We aim to create venture talents to produce and maintain a data-driven environment using innovative smart technologies (AI, IoT, cloud, big data, mobile, etc.), leading to the digital transformation of existing urban industries, and also the promotion of industrial and economic growth as a “Service to the Community”.
